Daniella DiFabio, MS

Psychology Extern

Daniella DiFabio, M.S., is a psychology extern at CBC, where she conducts individual, family, and group psychotherapy with children, adolescents, and adults. She earned an M.S. in School Psychology from St. John’s University and is currently a fourth-year doctoral student in the School Psychology program at St. John’s University. Daniella earned her B.A from Pace University where she graduated with a major in Psychology.


Daniella is intensively trained in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). She has clinical experience working with attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, anxiety, depression, externalizing disorders and self-harm across the lifespan. Prior to her externship at CBC, Daniella conducted psychological assessment, therapy, and parent- training services focusing on a wide range of presenting problems in children and adolescents at St. John’s Center for Psychological Services. Daniella’s work has a strong foundation in evidence-based practices. In addition, she has also worked as a psychology extern at the Ardsley Union Free School District in Westchester, New York. For the Ardsley School district, Daniella provided individual and group counseling for high school students, psychoeducational evaluations, behavioral observations, and social-emotional learning strategies. She has also conducted social skills training for individuals on the autism spectrum.

Daniella’s current research at St. John’s University focuses on interpersonal effectiveness and assertiveness training. Daniella has also worked as a research assistant at St. John’s University, where she helped assess the delivery of Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) by use of the REBT Competency Scale.
